My short ‘Known to the Gardai‘ has been selected for the renowned Healdsburg International Short Film Festival, in Sonoma County California. The cast and crew have all been invited to attend the festival. I couldn’t be more exited to head stateside in September, as by then it will be seven years since I visited the US. I’ll make sure and stop by New York on my way to California, been missing the place (and the people) like crazy.

It’s wonderful to get some recognition for a project that literally came together in a day, with a budget of essentially zero. I’m especially chuffed for the lads – Jack Concannon “Conky”. Kane Shortt “Fatz”, Calum Foy “Big Mike” and Finbar Coady “Garda Patsy O’Callahan”, who are all receiving well deserved attention for their hilariously naturalistic performances and timing.

I’m hoping we get to meet the festival jury, which features some of the most impressive names imaginable.
