‘Grotto’ – finalist in the Waterford Film Festival

Proud to say ‘Grotto’, a short script of mine was a finalist for ‘Best Short Screenplay’ in the Waterford International Film Festival. I headed down to the festival and caught some of the nominee screenings. For my money Portia A. Buckley’s moving ‘Clodagh‘, and Naomi Sheridan’s timely short ‘Kiki‘ stood out from the Irish entries. Internationally, the brilliantly weird and original ‘Chairs‘ from James Hughes was genuinely funny and heart felt.

Congratulations to the screenplay competition winner Radio Na Life’s Judy-Meg Ní Chinnéide, whom I know from another life as an independent radio producer back in the day.
