Film Showing NEXT WEEK

My experimental short film ‘What is lost can never be found’ will be shown next Tuesday 1st October at Visual Artists Ireland, 2 Curved St in Temple Bar. The film will be shown alongside Clodagh Emoe’s brilliant Parados (2009), which has previously been exhibited at IMMA (alongside Neil Jordan) in 2013. The event is free, but booking is required. It’s the first in a series of lunchtime double bills to be shown by VAI entitled ‘2 Films 3 Clues‘.

The film is a collaboration with the instrument builder and experimental musician Ed Devane, and with the 9th century Old English poet Cynewulf and was shot at the ‘Collision Objects’ performance at the “Giant’s Tomb” Glendruid Dolmen in Dublin this past May.

I’ve been a fan of Ed’s work ever since he featured in an episode of my radio documentary series ‘Mad Scientists of Music‘ in 2014, while I encountered Clodagh’s work during it’s original showing at IMMA in 2013.
